Kyrgyzstan Basic Mountaineering Course (KBMC) by JTRACE

The 13-Day Kyrgyzstan Basic Mountaineering Course (KMBC) is an annual bespoke mountaineering skills

course conducted by JTRACE with the partnership of the mountain guides of the KMGA (Kyrgyzstan

Mountaineering Guides Association) in the beautiful Pamir mountains of Kyrgyzstan. The course offers

participants the opportunity to learn basic mountaineering skills such as glacier travel, alpine climbing,

rock-climbing, crevasse rescue, crevasse self-rescue, cooking mountain meals and many more. After

attending this course, participants will be issued with a basic mountaineering certificate and will allow

participants to be more confident and competent to have their own expeditions in the bigger

mountains
